As you all know, apart from Real Estate, Website and Software development, I’m also a sort after public speaker in conferences workshops, seminars and even in preacher of God’s word. So i’m going to shares 3 experiences inusually have in my journey of public speaking…They are;
1. Many times when I’m invited to speak in conferences, seminars workshops or even preach in some churches, one question the moderator always ask me is “Should we bring you a chair?”. This is usually if the person has not met me before. I always reply, let me stand and speak…How God supplies strength to stand with one leg aided by clutches for hours in speaking is still a wonder to me and to many. Like the word of God said in 2 Cor 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
This is my testimony.
2. Secondly as soon as I arrive some places, some people looking at me walk in with clutches, will look with pity, but after I finish, they start seeing a mighty man. The kind of grace God releases when I speak to any audience is not from this world, it is heavenly…After my speaking, people usually ask for my contact details to invite me to other programmes…This is God.
Many even ask me to mentor them, which I gladly oblige. The grace of God is is the calling God also confirms his word in 1 Cor 1:27 “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”
3. Thirdly, God has given me grace to understand my audience and reach them.. whether children, youths, elderly I just have this special grace to communicate in words that inspired all hearts. God confirms his word in Isaiah 50:4 “The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.”
In summary, never give up on yourself or anyone irrespective of the challenge that may appear to the physical eyes. Discover your place in God and see God use you tremendously to do great things that will even make you wonder.
Most times after speaking and I hear great testimonials, I wonder how these things were done through me….
Take away
Whatever God has called you to do, He will empower you to do it. He will superimposed your weakness with his strength…
3 Things that Helped apart from the God Factor
- Be passionate. The world cannot ignore a passionate man.
- Be Intentional about upgrading yourself with new Knowledge, skill and information. When people come to listen to you, It’s what you know that they don’t know that they want to hear.
- Be consistent
